Concert and band photography is a critical component of a band’s musical endeavor, with many not realizing how vital their image is on top of making great tunes. Thus, why so many bands turn to a photographer to lead their visual output. Obviously, not every music group or artist has the ability to do such a thing, but it’s still worth mentioning.

Anton Corbijn is an excellent photographer and director who is primarily known for being the creative director behind the visual output of Depeche Mode and U2. Early on, Corbijn photographed bands like Joy Division and Cabaret Voltaire, where he grew a profile to be known as one of the best band photographers, directors, and visual artists in the world. Above is an excellent video that details a lesson in intoxicating and striking photography from Anton Corbijn. Check it out!
