The Work of Japanese photographer Naoya Hatakeyama

Like many other art forms, photography is an effort that requires inspiration in order to progress as an artist. Whether that inspiration is derived from life and what’s around you or other photographers, all of it plays a critical role in your development as a photographer.

Above is a video from Wired that details the work of Japanese photographer Naoya Hatakeyama while exploring the co-mingling of science and nature. Hatakeyama is a captivating photographer in that his large-scale color photographs often show landscapes in transition. Wired spoke to him during his Natural Stories exhibit at the SF MOMA.
