Whenever a photographer brings up what inspires them photography-wise in the landscape world, usually National Geographic photographers are at the top of their list. Considering National Geographic hires nothing but the best when it comes to shooting for them, there are a number of incredible shots from the magazine every day.
Above is a video featuring a discussion with Bob Holmes, a travel photographer who has done a large body of work with National Geographic. Like any other reputable magazine, it can seem confusing how someone gets to work with National Geographic in the first place, and how they shoot when they get the gig. Holmes discusses more of the latter, but it’s a compelling viewing either way.
