A few years back, Adorama did a video on abstract photography and how it concentrates on the shape, form, color, and composition of a photo in an unprecedented way. Anything deemed abstract breaks away from the formulaic way someone looks at a particular art piece, with some either having a strong distaste or love for the experimentation.
In the video, Doug McKinlay discusses the importance of finding the right angle and perceiving what’s in front of you through photography. Abstract photography can be a challenging field for someone to begin in, but as long as they’re patient enough with their practice, they’ll be able to watch themselves grow in the field.
