Every year, March 8th is National Women’s Day. it’s a reminder to celebrate and help push the envelope on equality and opportunity across every spectrum, with photography being included. Amidst that being said, there have been numerous women photographers throughout history that have shaped and changed photography for the better.
This video is an excellent compilation from T. Hopper that has a primary focus on women film photographers. The video discusses the work of Tina Modotti, Ans Westra, and Jill Freedman, all of which have been especially impactful through their work. Definitely give it a viewing if you want to see a quick glimpse into their photography.
