Introduction

Lens Filter Wrenches — If you’re like me, you’ve probably inadvertently screwed a filter on a lens a bit too tight then struggled to get it removed. Lens filter wrenches are a must and you’ll be shocked at how effective they are.

Compact Lens Cleaning Kit — Lenses get dust and smudges on them all of the time. A compact lens cleaning kit is a must.

Microfiber Cloth — A large microfiber cloth is great to wipe equipment down when it gets wet or to cover a camera if unexpected rain hits. I like this Dunlop guitar microfiber cloth. It’s better than any camera cloth that I’ve used.

Rain Covers — You cannot allow precipitation to ruin your gear. Rain covers are cheap yet effective. I have two that I recommend — The first one is a use once and toss away cover and the other is more permanent.

Remote Shutter Release — A remote shutter release is a must when you’re using slower shutter speeds or whenever you want to minimize camera shake. I like this model because it’s easy to use and reasonably priced. You’ll need to get the release that is compatible with your model camera.
