Street Photography Documentary: Joel Meyerowitz

2015

I must confess, I’m not a huge fan of Joel Meyerowitz‘s work but that is one of the many things that makes photography so great — it’s subjective! If we all thought the same and liked the same things, photography would be pretty boring.

I will say, Joel Meyerowitz did a tremendous job photographing and documenting the destruction and cleanup of the World Trade Center Towers and the the pain of a city in mourning. That of course occurred after this documentary was filmed.

Joel was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship and has received numerous other grants and awards for his work.
